BAUHAUSTAPETE—NEU AUFGEROLLT
NEW ROLLOUT BAUHAUS WALLPAPER

Accompaning scientific catalogue for the exhibition at the Museum of Cultural History, Osnabrück

Developed in 1929, based on an initiative led by Tapetenfabrik Gebr. Rasch & Co., together with students and teachers of bauhaus in Dessau, the bauhaus wallpaper became a lasting success.
The exhibition in the Osnabrück Museum Quarter covers topics including the history of the project, the advertising campaign, the latest edition of the bauhaus wallpaper and modern residential utopia. The aim is to provide a contemporary insight into a special Bauhaus product on the theme of everyday life, whereby the contradictions present in the icon history of bauhaus are to be shown alongside its utopias and ideas for collective, interdisciplinary design.
